Live Oak Municipal Pool

The Live Oak Swimming Pool is a big hit during those hot summer months here in Texas!  Many residents enjoy spending a relaxing day soaking up the sun and cooling off in the six lane pool, equipped with an exciting water slide!  We also have a baby wading pool that is two feet in depth, perfect for the younger children.  The pool features durable shade canopies that keep the rays from beating down; one which covers the entire baby pool area and the other three on the surrounding pool deck.  There are plenty of lawn chairs spaced throughout the pool grounds, as well as tables for guests to enjoy.  Vending machines are located on the property; however please feel free to bring your own food and beverages into the pool, with the exception of alcohol and glass containers.  Being fully handicap accessible, including a wheel chair water lift for disabled patrons makes the Live Oak Pool a prime destination.
The 2018 summer pool hours are almost over.
Sunday, August 19th is the last regular day at the pool, 1pm-6:45pm
Then . . . the pool will be OPEN on Labor Day ONLY Monday September 3rd, 1pm-6:45pm.
Daily pool admission is $2.00 for Live Oak residents, however a driver’s license (with current Live Oak address) or splash card must be presented as proof of residency.  *These will be the only two forms of identification accepted at the pool.  Admission for non-residents is $5.00.  The Live Oak pool can only accept cash or personal checks, and no bills over $20.00 are accepted. A summer pool pass can be purchased in the City Hall building beginning May 1st, and the cost is $30.00 per person for residents, $50.00 for non-residents.  If you are interested in booking a private pool party, please call 653-9140 ext. 2200 or stop by City Hall to make arrangements.
While at the pool, don’t forget to take advantage of the Life Jacket Loaner Program!  If your child needs assistance when swimming, the Live Oak pool offers the complimentary use of a lifejacket.  Please see a lifeguard for assistance and they will make sure your child is properly fitted and safe for the water.
A  child under 10 years old must be accompanied by a 16 year old or older.
Welcome back to our returning staff for the 2018 summer season!  The City of Live Oak is fortunate to have such a great group of young adults that oversee the pool in the summer and assist with special events throughout the year.  This year Collin, Sky, Nate, Jeanne, Katie, Noel, Nick and Kadey will be serving the community at the pool so make plans to stop by and say hello!  *The City of Live Oak is still accepting applications for the position of lifeguard.  Applications can be found on the city website at, and are also available in City Hall.  Don’t delay, apply today!

Don’t forget to sign up for your Resident Splash Card!  Residents of Live Oak may fill out a registration form at Public Works or at City Hall during regular business hours.  You will need a driver’s license or utility bill with the Live Oak address for proof of residency.  This card is free, and will allow you to pay the resident daily admission rate of $2.00 at the pool.  Without the card, or drivers license with the Live Oak address, all guests will be charged the $5.00 daily admission rate!
